A look at the competition from our analysts at LCSN (Losers Club Sports Network):

TEAM BD/LL

Les BD Copson:
One year later and what a change in lifestyle for the Bigg Dogg. Gone are the days of pitching the weather on the weekends, gone are the days of a stay at home nan. BD went for change and he went for lots of it! One thing remains consistent though, BD continues to be one of the biggest Tankers on the TankFest Tour and we know the 8 lagers on TF Day will not impact his play. BD is the Back Nine Specialist and the LCSN analysts feel that the only way the rest of the field has a chance is if the BD struggles mightily on the front nine.

Larry “The Legend” Ligenza: Unlike his paatner, is the Legend finally slowing down and settling? We haven’t heard much from LL lately but our inside information says that LL hasn’t been a regular on the links this Spring. LL can always bomb away, but in the TF scramble, pitching and putting is what wins Championships. The expectations are high for the defending Champs, but that is precisely when LL likes to turn it on… tack on the fact that LL has fallen behind all-time TF Championship holder Bubba Barbarini, the Legend is sure to come with his game face on this upcoming Friday.

TEAM BUBBA/MONTROSS

Bubba Barbarini: If Bubz can get through the next few days, he should be in much better shape than last year. We witness Bubz golf game two times this year and he is clearly a hit or miss type of player year-to-date. That may be better than consistency in the TF format. Bubz has thrown some darts up on the green lately but needs some help from MM to close the deal. If this team can Ham N Egg all day long, they will be right with the defending champs come hole #18. If they’re not helping each other out, it could be a long one!

Montross Montessi: A big homecoming for Montross Montessi. Lots of changes in the TF group this year, we bring back the Bigg Dogg, but lose the Bigg Chase to the sun and fun of Cali. MM clearly doesn’t have the same golfing regiment that he had at Whalley and we believe that will be the downfall of Team Bubba and Montross. The only thing on Monty’s side is his streakiness and with his recent Poker Playoff Championship, Monty might be ready for another run at a Championship.

TEAM BZER/ESTA

Esta Carrier: We don’t even know if Esta’s been on the golf course yet this year. But Esta is always a player around the greens and if BZ can get the boyz from tee to green, this team will definitely be able to hold pace. Problem is, Esta’s confidence might be down since the BMer is now tucked away at home and Esta’s frustration might be at the end of the line with his housing project. If his slapshot swing is spraying golf balls all over the course early, Esta may not have any patience to make a difference around the green.

BZer Zielinski: The hometown crowd wants no one else but the BZer to win another Championship, but we don’t know if the “Tom-a-Hawk Chop” will be able to hold pace on the leader board. However, BZer and Esta did put a solid round in 2004 with a +4 showing. BZer loves to be in the middle of controversy and Mr Instigator himself might just be able to rattle the defending Champs enough to keep it close throughout the tournament.

TEAM ROCK/ZIP

Zip Zielinski: Zip’s game started off solid but continues to digress every time he steps out onto the links. If he can get his driving game together, we think Roxie and Zip can stay competitive deep into the tourney. However, being paired with his psychological nemesis, BD Copson, could prove to be the difference. Zip’s drive on hole #1, could be the defining factor for this team.

Roxie Rocca: LCSN Analysts are predicting that this will be the highest scoring TF in the history of TankFest. That gives reason for Roxie to smile – as he is looking to make his first run at a TankFest Championship. Monty took Roxie to a tie for 2nd place in 2004, a score which might be good enough in 2007. Roxie will need to pitch in around the greens and match up with Zip just enough to carry through to a miracle finish on 18!
