2006 Tournament Recap

BD Copson and LL Ligenza came out strong and held off one charge from Zip/Bubba to claim their unprecedented 3rd straight TankFest.  It is the first time in the history of the TF Group that any member has won a Major Championship 3 years in a row.  Team Montross/BZer struggled on the front nine and didn't have enough time to get back into a race on the back nine.  Team Zip/Bubba also fell behind early by 3 strokes, but made a charge on holes 8-9 to cut the lead to 1.  The Champs remained calm and ended up winning by 3 strokes.

Final scores were BD/LL at Even, BZer/Montross took 2nd at +3, but never could put any real pressure on the Champs.  Zip/Bubba had opportunities to put the heat on the Champs but missed a couple of big shots, struggled on 18 and fell into third place.  Esta/Rock gave it their all and had a great day, finishing up at +17.  Esta captured longest drive, while LL took closest to the pin.
