Country Club will be the site where the 5th team in history
raises the coveted TF Plaque. Once again, congratulations on being
selected to an elite class of 8 players for the 5th Annual
TankFest Invitational - Tournament of Champions. Some important
off-season votes will take effect with tournament play on Friday,
September 17th. Listed below are the results of the latest vote, no real
shockers to mention:
Question 1: 6-2 in favor of hosting Poker Playoff II on TF Eve
Question 2: 7-0 (1 abstain) in favor of keeping the tournament at $100
Question 3: 6-1 (1 abstain) in favor of maintaining the Elite 8
Question 4: 7-1 in favor of drawing teams once and playing them as they
fall
Question 5: 6-2 in favor of no limit for consecutive years by a champion
Tourney IV was
another successful tournament as Bubba and Zip took their second
consecutive tourney. Team Zip/Bubz played a solid tournament throughout
and came away with a 1 stroke victory under the new stroke-play format
after double-bogeying #18. Team BD/LL re-unites this year to take another
shot at the champs. Over the course of the offseason, they’ve had plenty
of time to think of the 1st hole bogey which may or may not
have cost them a shot at a putt-off. Final Standings of TFIV, DZ/Bubz +4,
LL/BD +5, MM/Esta +6, BZ/Rock +10.
The tourney
format remains a 2-man scramble, using a stroke-play format. Best team
score through 18 holes will determine the champion with all ties settled
with a playoff on the putting green. Although there was a plethora of
controversy and last minute motions filed prior to the draw this year, we
continued with the use of a 4-man group “A” and a 2-man group “B” format.
Final Draw results below. We will make every effort to re-shuffle the
teams at the turn depending on current scores at that time.

Tourney odds
posted above; scouts see the 2 year defending champs as the favorites
right now as both players have improved on their game since last year’s
tourney. Scouts bring in LL/BD as the top challenger, however, both
players seem to lack the play time this summer and their game may show it
early on. LCSN was able to provide an analysis for this year’s tourney
once again, please read what they had to say about you!
A two championship weekend, should be
great, see you at the tourney(s),
Zip
