Dear Players,
Congratulations
on being selected for the 2nd annual TankFest 2001 Invitational
Tournament of Champions. Only a select group of talented individuals are
chosen each year for this prestigious tournament. Players must be in top
physical and mental shape to be eligible for the tourney and ready to
compete. All players must present their Tour Cards at check-in along with
a photo ID.
In our first
tourney, Larry and Twig were able to fight through emotions and injuries
to overtake Rock and Montross in overtime to get into the finals. Also in
the first round, Zip and Esta jumped out to a quick 2 hole lead before
hanging on against a single-handed Les “Potter” Copson. LL and Twig
jumped out to a quick 2 hole lead in the championship match, never looked
back, and went on to be crowned the first champion ever.
 The
tourney format remains the same: A 9 hole, match play, 2-man scramble with
single elimination. The teams will be drawn at the opening ceremonies
with the LL/Twig team staying together to defend their title. With the
addition of the BZer, we will go to a 4 man group A and a 2 man group B
using the following format.
This year looks to be just
as emotionally and physically draining as last year as the claim for
“champion” grows more and more prestigious each year. The tourney is a
time for all the boyz to get together and have a great time. We’re lucky
to have such a tight group of friends, so let’s keep this a long standing
tradition!!!
